PLANTING

Our primary planting method is using weather resistant planter drones. These are designed to maximise seed carrying capacity, delivery rates as well as flight time as shown in this video. This allows a single onsite team plants approximately 800,000 trees per day in a single location. This is achieved through the use of proprietary software that directs multiple drones simultaneously on predetermined flight paths as shown below. Our drone pilots are licenced in accordance with local aviation regulations and log all flight paths which form part of our quality management system for ISO compliance and reporting for Platinum partners. These partners also receive in-flight video footage showing their logo fixed to the drone for promotional use. Some hand planting may be needed in areas that aren’t suitable for drones eg in close proximity to established trees.

SATELLITE MONITORING AND PHOTOGRAPHY

World leading technology Partner Garmin provides high resolution satellite photographic and 3d topographic information. This enables identification of landscapes that need remediation or are majorly damaged (examples shown below).

Data records of newly planted areas are then used for yearly visits that provide firsthand knowledge of plant growth and survival rates generally.
